Wish the shower situation wasn’t such a drama—I came for relaxation, not a waterworks show! And the uphill walk? Let’s just say my calves had a little too much cardio.

Perfect retreat for couples

Izumi-san really went above and beyond, making us feel like family! We got a pre-marathon breakfast arranged, and it was a huge help-trying to eat as much as I could before running, felt like I could conquer the world after that meal.

It was a bit pricey for a night away, but worth every yen.

Had an amazing time at Negiya Ryofukaku! The mountain view from my room was amazing, and the private onsen was pure bliss. Staff were super attentive Wish the lighting in some areas was softer, but overall a fantastic experience!

The experience at this ryokan was absolutely unforgettable, especially soaking in the private onsen while admiring the stunning bamboo forest. Our family enjoyed exploring the Museum of Nature and Human Activities nearby. The kaiseki meals were exceptional, a true culinary delight.

My kids wished for more variety in the snacks available.

The Deluxe Twin Room was super comfy with tatami mats and a lovely mountain view. I loved the yukata and the touch of traditional decor. The room felt spacious and really calming, perfect for winding down after enjoying the onsen. The only downside was a slight mix-up with the shower, but the staff fixed it quickly. Overall, it really added to the authentic ryokan vibe!
